The Stearns Center for Teaching and Learning is excited to announce two new funding opportunities for faculty at George Mason University through Engaged Teaching Curriculum and Teaching Leadership (CTL) Funds.

Engaged teaching refers to instructional practices that are student-centered, inclusive, collaborative, and designed to actively involve students in their learning. These funds support faculty who are committed to advancing these approaches in their courses and programs.

  1. High Impact Projects: Engaged Teaching
Faculty can apply for up to $3,000 to support innovative projects that advance engaged teaching practices. Projects should have a clear impact on student learning, foster collaboration, and promote inclusivity.
  2. Faculty Associate: Engaged Teaching
Faculty Associates receive a $5,000 stipend and partner with the Stearns Center to develop and lead initiatives, mentor colleagues, and build community around engaged teaching. This opportunity promotes professional development and leadership in teaching.
