Instructors don’t always know how much impact they have on their students. The Stearns Center for Teaching and Learning invites you to celebrate those who have made a difference in your George Mason journey by submitting a Thank-a-Teacher note.
How It Works
Submit your note to the Stearns Center for Teaching and Learning to recognize an instructor who has had a meaningful impact on you. You may submit separate forms for as many current or former instructors as you wish, and you have the option to remain anonymous.
Delivery Timeline
Thank you notes are collected throughout each academic year. Notes submitted by the end of the fall 2026 and spring 2027 semesters will be delivered to instructors in fall 2027.
Teaching Excellence Awards
In addition to sending your instructor a thank you note, you can nominate exceptional faculty members for a University Teaching Excellence Award. The nomination survey can be found at the end of the Thank-a-Teacher form. You can learn more about these awards and nomination deadlines on the Stearns Center’s Teaching Awards website.
