These eight to ten-hour faculty development opportunities are ideal for instructors who want to focus on a specific topic or develop a specific teaching strategy. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to complete the Level 1 Teaching Essentials credential or workshops.
The Level 2 Teaching Competencies Credential requires:
- Completion of the Level 2 faculty development opportunity
- Submission of a teaching artifact
- Submission of the CPD Teaching Competencies Credential Form using the CPD Credential Submission Portal.
Level 2 Opportunities
CPD Level 2 opportunities include bootcamps, mini-courses, seminars, and residencies. Some are synchronous, while others are asynchronous and online. Some may be completed in a week, while others extend over the course of the semester. Current offerings include:
- Applied Teaching Residency (synchronous online)
- Introduction to Artificial Intelligence Inspired Pedagogies Seminar (synchronous online)
- Redesigning Assignments Bootcamp (synchronous online)
- Designing Your Syllabus Mini Course (asynchronous online)
